University of Lahore

Lahore School of Nursing (LSN) was incepted in year 2010 with a few faculty members headed by a Principal. The school was established with the sole aim to produce graduate nurses to cope with the dearth of nursing professional in the world in general and in Pakistan in particular. Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) after thread bare inspection of LSN has been pleased to recognize this institution in its first visit.

Consequently two courses BS Nursing (Post RN) and BS Nursing (Generic) spanning over a period of 2 years and 4 years respectively were introduced with semester system which is unique in its relevant programs. We hope that this 1st step will be a milestone of the era for nursing profession in Punjab.

It is bare fact that graduate nurses are capable enough to work in diverse fields such as Public Health Care, Military Service and Administration of Medical Care where best health care services are required. With increasing trend of students aspiring degree program in nursing, proficient and well experienced faculty members were recruited for imparting skill embodied with knowledge to graduate and under graduate nursing students. Adhering to the policies of PNC state of the art Skill Lab was established. Likewise a rich library comprising books and journals on the subject of Nursing was setup to facilitate the expanding number of students.

It is matter of privilege for University of Lahore (UOL) that in session Fall 2017, fifty (50) students were enrolled in BS Nursing (Post RN) and Fifty (50) Students BS Nursing (Generic) on merit basis.

PNC recognized the University as pioneer institute in Punjab for  Master of Science in Nursing  (MSN)  program in 2017 after meticulous inspections. In Fall 2017, ten (10) students were enroll in MSN program on merit basis. This Program provides not only ample opportunities to the nurses in Punjab for obtaining nursing professional degree, to attain excellence in their profession but to compete rapid advancements in health sciences.

Principal Message
